The trip would be long and we knew this. She hid in the ruins so deep that
only the bravest souls even ventured in to attempt to find the feared women
know as Shelaste. Many of these brave souls never even make it past her
devious maze or even get to see the sheer beauty she enholds. But as Tarken
and I ventured towards our destiny we hoped today would be our lucky day. The
day was young and the paths were windy, every turn looked like the turn before
it and every dead end resembled each other. We let nothing stand in our way,
with each step forward we know we were getting closer to the end and with each
step retraced we begin to find our direction more readily. As dusk fell, we
made it to an upstairs tower and then it hit us, well to be more exact she hit
Tarken and he was no more. I fled quickly and retraced my steps back to the
exit of the ruins.
After a mere hour or so we had organized a squadron set with only one thing in
mind, success. The night was young, but we knew the possibilities were
endless. Onward we went back into the ruins and in hopes to finally rid this
world of such an evil being. We prepared as well as any adventurers could and
decided it was time to face her in battle. In we went, magic and weapons
flying and soaring all over the place and screams of pain and anger filled the
dark gloomy room. It seemed as if we were winning, but one can never be quite
certain. Suddenly she fell to one knee and reached her hand out and we all
felt a sudden jolt. As my eyes opened I realized she was not there anymore
but something was different, this was not the part of the ruins we recalled
just being at. We were quite scared but we diced we must fight on, we
wandered a bit a suddenly we say daylight.
Back at the entrance to the ruins we decided to run back to where we say her
last. We once again entered her room to find her ready for combat and once
again a battle began, but this time she got the better of us and the party had
to flee. We maintained and prepared for a final battle but when we entered
where we saw her last she was not there. After a bit of searching Shelaste
came out from hiding, and the final battle began. It was an us or her
mentality, and finally as scream came out of her as her shrukens fell to the
ground. Shelaste was dead, and would haunt the nightmares of civilians no
more.
