a habit of my youth
coffee sipping and storytelling
though mostly watching others
in a fifties class diner
filtrated sunlight through window blinds
reflect the smoke emitting from tables
tables and stools
old and heavy asses hang from these stools
they speak of nothing, amusing
arrogance, ignorance, and tolerance
the basis of their lives
neon signs and breakfast specials
"What will you have today?"
the only thing to look forward too
goodness, do they really hate the day
would spend their whole lives in here
if they only could
nothing more to life than
coffee sipping and storytelling
