These few blood stained sheets of parchment paper appears to be parts of
a great book that has somehow been separated from their normal resting spots.
From the natural and graceful strokes of the penmanship alone, the author of
this book is no less than a scholarly sage. Upon closer examination of the
writing, every letter appeared to be precise and every word perfect as if
there was never any doubt or hesitation in the mind of the author. As the
leaflets are scrutinized even further, the ink was noted to be most unusual
since no smudges or spills appear on any of the pages. Even the texture of the
ink was unlike any other scripture in the world of mortals.
Images of someone mysteriously appeared. The vision of a distinguished
bearded man dressed in glowing suit of white plate armour engraved with golden
'E' became visible. He sat in front of an enormous white marble desk with a
pen in hand and confidently began to write into a great tome. Although the pen
never touched the parchment-like pages of the book, shimmering words took
shape seconds after the pen passes the pages
"Master Esachen," a sturdy masculine voice is heard nearby.
With a brief nod, the bearded man stood and and left the room leaving his
pen and tome still on the desk top.
Shadows soon took form in the room and a humanoid shape appeared within
the room. After a short search through the book carelessly left open by its
owner, several pages were torn from the great tome by the unknown thief.
"No one mussssssssst know of thissssssssssssss," hissed as the creature
melts into the shadows in the room vanished from sight.
The visions disappeared as strangely as it appeared. As the attention is
turned again to the text, the contents read as follow...
After the glorious death of the Dark Avatar, Burglefloogah, in the Great
Northern Swamps, the citizens of Bat World rejoices as Good triumphs over Evil
once again. Many sheeps and goats were sacrified for the multitudes of
festivals and feasts to honour the bravery of the Nine Adventurers on their
victory over the dreaded Lord of Reptiles. But unknowing to the mudanes who
slaughter their innocent livestocks, each meaningless death ignites a tiny
spark that seeks to revive the lifeless body of the slain demi-god. Until
finally, in the dark dimension of Draen-Dalar, the Overlord of
Darkness..........
Burglefloogah crawled into the dimly lit throne room as blood flows
freely from its battered body and wimpered in its unhuman voice,
"Ffffaaathhhhhhhherrrrrrrr................."
As it inched closer to the dark figure sitting on the throne, it called
out endearly in its inhuman voice, "ffffaaaattthhhhhhherrrr.... helf...
meeeee."
"So, slained again by some mortal and finally pulled yourself together,
eh?" sneared the cold and sinister figure.
"T'wasssss Baltzzzzzzebub 'n heeeeee haaaad ffffffraindsssssssss...," the
slubbering mass replied in defence.
"Oh, so it was Baltzebub and he had friends... ooooooo," mocked the dark
one in a childish voice.
Lightning flashes and thunder roars omninously as Draen-Dalar, the
Overlord of Darkness, raises his voice and shouted, "Baltzebub is but a MEER
ETERNAL, and his friends are nothing more than pathetical MORTALS. YOU ARE A
DEMI-GOD, or should be one if you were not SO WEAK!"
With but a slight kick, Draen-Dalar sent Burglefloogah crashing into the
pillar at the end of the room.
"GNNNNN," the Avatar cried in pain as its half mend bones broke yet
again.
"You have brought shame on me and my evil priests for your failure, and
not to mention losing my beloved Vorpal Blade," cursed the Overlord in
disgust. "I should just change you to the toad that you are and feed you to my
pet lizards."
As he raised his right hand towards the mount of flesh and bones that is
the God of Reptiles, his hand began to emit an evil black light. Burglefloogah
cowered in fear as the dark energy began to surround it and vibrate in an
unearthly fashion. The joy of causing fear and pain filled his mind, but then
something happened and he rememberd who his true enemies are.
"Bahhhhhhhhhhhhh....," screamed the Overlord as he interrupted his spell.
"Now GET OUT of my sight before I change my mind! I will deal with these puny
fleshlings myself."
Limply, the Reptile Lord slithered out the throne room and into the
shadows.
The Overlord's eyes sparked as he walked towards huge arcane looking
mirror next to his throne and began to speak into it, "Armageddon! Armageddon!
I call upon you now to do a task for me..."
(The pages end here abruptedly.)
