An alchemists' knowledge of the vital organs of most living creatures can be a
useful tool or a dangerous weapon. When wielding a small, light blade, such as
a knife or scalpel, an alchemist can use this skill to try to injure -- but
not destroy -- the vital organs of an enemy. If successful, the blade will
cause severe pain and damage, otherwise a much less effective flesh wound
results. Dexterity improves the chance of hitting the target, intelligence
aids in hitting a vital organ, and dissection skill helps both. Note that not
all creatures have vital organs or need them to survive.
