Bloodletting has a long history. It has been practiced by druids and other healers often with a purpose of curing illness, but whether this practice can be considered effective is somewhat arguable. Priests of Burglefloogah often practice bloodletting in order to collect blood for their own blood mixing experiments. For Sa'hr blood means life and blood is needed to give birth to many satomalums of the swamp. Bloodletting requires a willing donor but there are priests who sometimes collect their blood from a reluctant, dead donor as well.
