Runic magic is weaved in a way much unlike that of conventional spellcasters. Spells are not granted as blessings from faceless deities, but mastered through painstaking research in the wilderness, and through the analysis of ancient scriptures. Thus, the arcane art of runemagery itself can be to some extent be simplified to a scientific field in itself, allowing a learned runemage to interpolate and deduce when an occasional fragment of knowledge eludes him.
