Chapter IX: Borgman 5.8 Why Do The Nice Guys Get Crapped On? One day, Borgman sitting at home while Christina was at work, a tornado hit outside the house, and a large hailstorm was going on. After it calmed down, Borgman went to her job to check if she was alright. She went on break as he got there, so he decided to spend time with her while she wasn't working. She looked very angry, Borgman thought she just had a bad day at work, and she told him to go home she was only going to eat something really quick and go back to work, so he did. Then she tells him a guy at work gave her his phone number, he asks her jokingly if she called it, she laughed and said no. Borgman continues life as normal, and sees a random phone number in her cell phone, thinks nothing of it. Suddenly Christina starts ignoring Borgman, she wouldn't look directly at him, talk to him unless he talked to her, won't kiss him or hold his hand, nor did she wish to have any intimacy for several weeks. Borgman grew concerned, never thinking she was cheating on him, he asked her parents if she had talked to them and wondered what was on her mind. Several days passed and she ignored him more and more, he started becoming physically ill and could not sleep well. On Mother's Day her family decided to go the beach and Borgman, knowing she might have needed some space, was not going to go, yet her father knew Borgman wanted to go, so he asked him to come. Borgman sat in the back of the car, and the whole time Christina never talked to him. They got to the beach and she wandered off by herself and started sunbathing, Borgman tried to give her a kiss and she told him to 'Get the hell out of my light'. He went and sat next to her father. He talked to him trying to figure out what was going on. Then he saw Christina, walking on the beach by herself talking on her cell phone, Borgman assumed she was talking to her friend, whom she always confided in when she had something on her mind. Borgman really wanted to be walking with her, as he always wanted to walk with his girl on the beach, but he let her be alone. Then Borgman got the phone to call his mother, on mother's day. He checked the call logs of the phone, and noticed an unlisted number in the logs, the same number he saw a few days ago (photographic memories kick ass). Then on the way home, Borgman feel asleep, he woke up and heard Christina talking on the phone, and she hung up as soon as he woke up. He thought it was probably just her friend's grandmother's house or something, since she never listed that number and she listed all other numbers she ever called frequently. When they got home, Borgman decided to try to take her out to dinner and ask her what was going on. He went into her work vest to find her schedule to coordinate a day to go to dinner, and he found a phone number with a guy's name on it, the number Borgman saw in the phone. He checked the call logs on the phone and noticed he talked to that guy on the beach and that time when he feel asleep in the car. Borgman become confused and distraught, he was extremely worried. Christina had been acting strange, going to friends houses way more then she ever did before, and for much longer periods of time, she got home from work late and the way she had been treating Borgman recently all popped into his mind after seeing the phone number. He decided to confront her about it, she totally freaked on him, saying the he didn't trust her and that he was just a friend from work and quickly left the house to go to her job. Borgman realized that he should give her some space, so he left her some chocolate and flowers and a note to tell her he is sorry and loves her and wants to be with her, and he went to Lordstar's house to spend a few days and give her some time to think, he became so sick he didn 't go to work for 3 days because he could not eat, sleep, or stop puking. Unbeknownst to Borgman, Christina also did not go home that night, she went to a motel, then saw her mother the next morning at work, told her that she was at a motel, alone, and needed time alone, then she promised to talk to Borgman when she saw him next, she then didn't come home again the next night and came home the morning after, where she did not talk to Borgman, he told her he loved her, said if she wanted to talk to him, to call him he would be at Lordstar's house or at work. He then found out she didn't come home again, and went clubbing, which she had been wanting to do for a long time, but did not go with her friend like she had said she was going to, she went alone and apparently stayed at a motel again. Finally, Borgman could not take living in a vale of darkness and not knowing what was going on with his relationship, he found her at work, not wearing her engagement ring. This made Borgman very sad, he wanted to know what was going on and if she loved him and that she was going to be with him. She told him that she wasn't ready for a serious relationship she was too young and wanted to sort out her life. Borgman was very saddened, asked her if she really wanted that and eventually left, and moved back to Lordstar's house, alone. Chapter X: Borgman 6.0 The Aftermath Borgman was destroyed he felt like someone had pulled out his heart and smashed it. He went on with his life, trying to recover from the agony. Not being able to sleep well, wanting his girl to be with him, but knowing she did not want him was hard, but something he had to accept. Eventually he felt less and less like crap. One day, Christina walks by and does not say anything, Borgman's body went cold and numb, he couldn't move and felt horrible, she walked by again without saying anything, he tried to forget, but he loves her to much. Everyone Borgman knows has been informed of what has happened and does not like Christina, they think what she did to him was vile and wretched, yet Borgman, foolish Borgman, as much as he knows he should not, would still take her back and forgive her if she wanted it, love. Borgman is informed by many friends and some relatives that work with Christina about her actions before and after their break up. He tells them to stop telling him, but he keeps learning more, he finds out the guy she was talking to, she was seen holding hands with him, being 'friendly' to him, and also that the guy had a girlfriend already. Eventually Christina realizes Borgman accidentally took the title to her car when he took his paperwork. She comes up to his work and asks for it, Borgman tells her he'll look and give it to her when she wants it, and he tries to talk to her, but she walks away from him, wondering why she didn't ask for it the day before when she walked by and ignored him. Then a few days later she comes up and asks Borgman for the title, he tells her he'll give it to her and wants to talk to her for a bit. She agrees, yet seems very annoyed. He asks her about what happened, why she left him, why is she going out with that guy, if she knew about his girlfriend and was surprised to hear Christina say she knew about her. Christina also asked how Borgman knew so much about her and asked if he was spying on them, he told him about his concerned friends, and she seemed like she didn't believe him. She also told him she left him because he was obsessing to much about her, ignored his friends, and never gave her any time to herself. Seemingly she never wanted to go to her friend's house quite that often, Borgman never stopped her from going anywhere, and they rarely spent time due to their opposing work schedules, but he was still happy and tried to spend time with her. Borgman was confused why she gave him a different reason before and wondered if it was just an escape to go with this other guy. Maybe she was scared of having a committed relationship where someone actually cared for her, wanted to be with her and liked spending time with her, not just when she wanted it. She left Borgman angrily and he told he to have a good life, still wishing that even though all this had happened, she was still with him. Friends at work tell him that she is apparently telling her parents that her and that guy are just friends and that apparently Christina talks to very few people and is rarely home. Borgman is sad for her, that she will probably never have a true relationship and that all her strove for with her seems to mean nothing to her, thrown away like garbage..in two pieces on the floor.
