Doh, almost forgot to do my 10 min. of creative writing today. I was forced
to miss yesterday due to the downtime of the Bat server. Heh, 30 min.
downtime turned into several hours in a hurry.

Durnit, I need to write down my "blog topics" so I don't forget what the heck
they were when it comes to write them. Otherwise, this entry is going to turn
into one long ramble about nothing, sort of like most network tv. shows these
days. Anyways, weekend plans are set, and I'll be heading down to Ames to
visit the buddies. Sadly, I'm already getting spring fever and it isn't even
Feb. Today's weather was sunny and almost 50 degrees, which is a nice March
day. I think the grass is even starting to green a little. Jan. weather can
be such a tease sometimes.

Some nasty cold bug is making the rounds here at work. I'm hoping it skips
me, or at least waits till after this weekend. I don't mind being sick at
work, but darn it, I don't want to be sick on my time off. *grin*

Hmm...appears I may need to write a bit earlier in the day. Pretty silly to
be drawing a complete blank. Guess I'll just have to write about what I did
at work today. Today's duties entailed running a series of 1 hour tests and
taking data at each hour. During the runs, I'm at my desk doing analysis of
the test data into a report that no one will ever read. All the managers care
about is the final "did it pass or not", the report is there so process is
met. Remember kids, engineering is 75% paperwork, especially if you work on
government or aerospace projects. A few status updates and that's my work day
in a nutshell. Of course, I don't mention the intermittent web surf to keep
my eyes open.

Since I have enough time in for the week, I'll be leaving around noon for the
weekend. So, I may or may not blog tomorrow depending on my time
availability. Well, not exactly my best work, but then they all can't be
Pulitzer material. *grin* Till the next entry. --Roger **
