Ok, so I was bad last week and skipped my blog entry on Thur. due to lack of
energy and lack of stuff to say. Which, I suppose I could have wrote, but
then I would have dragged it out for about 50 lines, and frankly the world is
a better place without that having been done. Anyways, nice weather weekend
(mostly) for once. Actually had a warm (upper 50's) and windy day on
Saturday. My nieces and youngest nephew was over to the farm. I wandered out
to the timber, but found the ground so soft and muddy yet. So, I decided to
hook onto our trailer and haul in 2 loads of firewood that my brother and his
friend had cut up last fall, but hadn't taken. On each trip back to the farm,
my little nephew Cayden decided he was going to help. Being not quite 5 years
old, I had him push wood off the end of the trailer to "help" and hand carry
smaller pieces over to the pile. He was thrilled to death! Then, I had him
sit next to me to run the trigger on the chain saw as I blocked up a log. He
was quite excited afterwards.

Sunday was cooler and even more wind. I fired up our 930 Case tractor and
headed out to pull up some more logs for blocking. The log splitter is still
in the shop, and figures to be that way for a few weeks. And until the ground
dries up a bit, I'll have to bide my weekends with blocking more firewood now
that most of the frost is out of the ground and I can get the logs out of the
pasture. After a fine home-cooked lunch of ribeye steaks (fried, of course)
and hash browns, I laid around watching it shower. Ma is such a mean cook,
makes me eat too much. *grin* And then I wonder why I gain weight on the
weekends.

Which brings us to today, which was another day of me puttering around trying
to get testing done for a qual. Not much else of importance. Today's blog
entry brought to you buy "Fool For the City" Fog Hat.
