Weekend went by fast and sweet. Watched "Serenity" on Friday night. I loved the movie and just wished Fox had not been such morons to have killed the "Firefly" series before it got going. Spoiler alert: I was surprised they killed off Wash, I kindof expected Book to get killed though. He just never fit in with the rest of the crew and we never did get the character to expose his past although it is hinted he was also an 'assassin of the state' like the main antagonist in the movie. But Wash's death just seemed so arbitrary, like it was hacked in at the last minute by some studio exec. And I swear Josh Whedon just wants to write a female ninja character, but River was the closest he could come to it with this world of characters. Just why do I find River so sexy? Is it the strange combo of innocence and violence? Of course, it didn't hurt that the actress is a cutie. Saturday I was out on the farm. Dad and I fixed the log splitter and we finished up the last of the wood I had ready for splitting. Sunday morning, watched it rain, and then the rest of the day we watched it stay gloomy and foggy. I even got a nice nap, which my sis and her broodlings woke me up from. Somewhat adjusted this morning to daylight savings. Last few weeks I had been waking up an hour earlier for some reason, so it wasn't such a shock to the system. Just hoping I can get to sleep earlier tonight.
