Eventful day at work, that is if you are a tester at heart. I managed to find a few bugs to make the engineers grind their teeth on. Unfortunately, I got one occurrence of a bug that I can't reproduce (the bane of my existence!). So, all in all, it is a good day. Looks like I'll have another day or 2 worth of puttering with the system to see if I can break anything else. Oddly enough, my running late last night caused me to cross paths with 1 of the 3 mentioned in prior entries. Well, after some small talk, she mentioned that she wanted to catch me at the gym again. We'll see if there is any follow-through on her promises. Just wanted to point out how strange and coincidental life works out some days. Some people may say that there are no such things as coincidences, but then I'm not that fatalistic in my approach to life. Then again, I don't look a gift horse in the mouth either. Regardless, I got an uptick on my happiness meter yesterday evening. Speaking of the gym, might as well document where I'm at so far on my New Year's gym resolutions. Looking good so far on the lifting portion, as I'm doing 8/6/5 reps at 225 lbs. I think I'm going to up it by 10, build up some more strength, and then back down to see if that helps a bit. I feel like I'm plateaued at the moment on the flat bench. As for the other one, I'm halfway to my first goal. The diet doesn't seem to be bothering as much during my workouts. I'm just hoping my body hasn't adapted too well, and I stop losing weight due to increased efficiency at processing the calories I do intake. The goal of a pound a week so far has been exceeded, but I'm finding my weekends on the farm are costing me several days of weight loss days during the week. I'm dreading the scale after Easter dinner. At least this will be the last family feast before my birthday. I'm still not up to running yet, I just don't enjoy it enough. However, I did try the newest elipitical machines and are enjoying them. Also finding my ass is getting handed to me by said machines too. Congratulations goes out to Boot on her preliminary good news on her opportunity in Sweden. You go girl! Just goes to show that sometimes dreams can come true with a lot of effort. Ok, gym time. Tonight's blog entry brought to you by "Beat It" Michael Jackson.
