These spring weekends sure fly by swiftly. Saturday I helped Dad get the farm machinery ready for spring field work and planting. Less than a month from now and we'll be planting the corn crop, weather permitting. Sunday I spent the day out in the timber pulling up oak tops for firewood. It is really convenient to find the tops with all of the leaves off of the brush. Sadly, I won't have much time before everything breaks out the foliage and obscures my vision. To continue my bad luck streak with equipment, found out that the 630 tractor was leaking gas into the oil when we checked its oil levels at the end of the day. Shesh! Well, at least no serious harm done, but we'll have to find the problem and get that fixed now. Going to be a short week since my company graciously allows us slackers to have Good Friday off. Turns out I get to chauffer the parental modules down to an antique show here in town because it got moved to a new location and the modules don't know where to drive to. Lucky me. There goes my Friday off. Tonight's blog entry brought to you by "Song 2" Blur.
