Not much to write up tonight. Weekend went by swiftly as they often do. Spent most of it out in the timber pulling out more tops for firewood. Really nice right now with all of the brush still lacking leaves. I'm able to see where the tops are at and the best routes to approach with the tractor to pull them out. In a few short weeks it will be a lush, green mess out there again. The multifloral rose, gooseberry, and blackberry bushes are overtaking the timber with many of the hardwoods chopped down. I come out each weekend with a large dose of scratches across the legs and arms from working in that stuff. Anyways, weather was nice, just cool enough to be able to wear a long-sleeved shirt and still be comfortable. I managed to haul out several nice oak logs. It is still too cool though for us to start the corn planting, although by this coming weekend we may end up planting. Here is to hoping we get some 70+ temps soon. I'll know by Thur. evening if I'm taking next week off to help with the planting. Work is chugging along. Unfortunately, one of our pending contracts got put into hold due to lack of customer funds. I may end up having to find work outside of the group by summertime. And now there is talk of a re-org heading my way in a week. Appears the manager 3 levels up is changing jobs, so I'm sure there will be a shuffle as the new guy takes over. whee. Tonight's blog brought to you by "Loser" 3 Doors Down
