Time to get the old blog caught up on my wacky hi-jinks. Last weekend was
Easter, which I spent with the folks. Weather was miserable with high temps
in the 30's and 20+mph winds all weekend long. Dad and I attended Good Friday
mass (once again, another low attendance at the local parish). Then, I
escorted the parents down to Cedar Rapids so they could peruse the antique
show. Dad came back with several buys once again. Saturday I helped Mom
babysit my sister's youngest two children for the day. Not much else really.
Sun, parents and I attended early mass (packed as usual). Afterwards, we
prepared Sunday dinner. My sister could not attend due to sickness on her
part. My brother and his girlfriend made it 15 min. late. My parents and I
thought no one was coming, so we had almost finished eating when they showed
up. Only other thing of note is that I got my hair cut by my brother's
girlfriend. I'm all set for warmer weather now, if it would only get here.
Shesh, two straight weeks of sub 40 highs. All of the trees budded out and
now, no progress. Even the grass seed I planted in the front yard has not
germinated in this weather. Here is hoping that next week the weather finally
returns to normal. Global warming my ass. I find it extremely amusing that
when the national news outlets talk about massive snow storms in DC that they
don't ever mention that global warming could also be causing this as well.

Otherwise, not much new going on. Still hitting the gym regularly, but little
progress on the weight loss. Weighed in at 171 yesterday. *sigh* Guess I'm
going to have to do a 2-week aggressive diet to drop some pounds and then
return to normal for maintenance mode. Just can't do that when I go home to
visit the folks, as Mom feels it is her imperative to overfeed me with home
baked goodies.

I don't feel like going into the current situation with my oldest nephew at
the current moment. Suffice to say, I hope this is for the best for him.
