Quick update on past activities in auctioneer mode.  Went to races on Fri.
night, brother won again and got pics taken with him.  Sat. morning, stained
the lower deck of parent's house.  Sat. afternoon, went black raspberry
picking, got about 4 quarts in a couple of hours.  Went to church, then went
out with my good high school friend Daryl to a campground to hang with his
family and another mutual high school friend of ours and his family.  Sunday
morning, got Daryl to come out at 9am to pick more black raspberries.  I got
at least 6 quarts picked.  Good weather, low 80's, sunny, low humidity, a
complete rarity for this time of the year in Iowa.  

Black raspberries are 2 weeks early this year, probably due to the early heat
in June.  Gooseberries will be ripe this weekend.  Yards are already acting
stunted like they do in August.  Hopefully this will mean I won't have to mow
too many more times.  Already hearing locust singing, very early for them. 
Even found a pair of locust shells on the side of the house this morning.

My poor birthday presents (apple trees).  Some damn green beetle is attacking
the leaves.  My one tree looks like shit right now, curled brown edges, or
chewed up edges or brittle brown with holes.  Sigh, I just hope it makes it.

Got my deck stained on Sun. evening and installed the screens on my front door
now that I got them restrung a week ago.  I love that I can now get a breeze
into my front room with the doors open.  Too bad opening the door makes my
living room smell like stain.

Finally beat Baal on Disgaea 1 last week.  Put the game away and bought 3 more
games, Odin Sphere, GrimGrimoire, and Star Ocean (used).  Playing GrimGrimoire
currently.  Love the story, gameplay is so-so, and from what I read, it is a
short game.  Prolly worth 20 bucks used, don't pay full price.

Weigh in at gym, 168.  So, holding steady at the moment.  Changed up the
workout routine, will see if I can get a little back on the bench press
strength here in the coming weeks while holding the weight the same.

Tomorrow is the 4th of July holiday.  Taking off for home here shortly, plan
on going fishing with the folks, if it isn't raining in the morning (chances
in the forecast).  Got races coming up Fri. night again.  And it looks I'm
getting set up on a blind date soonish, arranged by friend/coworker.  More
details as I learn 'em.  This should be an adventure.  Tonight's blog brought
