Well, I had better get caught up in a hurry with all of the latest news. On
the good news front, Lisa is now out of intensive care and is now in general
care. She'll be working on her rehab for a couple more weeks before she will
be fully released from the hospital. On the bad news front, last Friday
night, folks and I were watching my brother race. During the last lap, his
transmission blew up and the parts hit the car body. One piece struck under
where his elbow was resting, so he ended up having to go to the hospital to
get an x-ray taken. At least nothing was broken, but he'll be sore for a
month. Now on the lucky side, since it was a caution on final lap, he got to
keep his place in the previous lap to maintain his points lead.

On Saturday morning, it was raining so I decided to get my hair cut by my
brother's girlfriend at her place. Dragged Dad along to help pass the time.
We stopped and checked out my brother's race car and it was incredible. The
entire transmission was gone, housing blew apart and all. Just the bolts we
where it matched up with the engine were left. Afterwards, I got my curls
clipped off so I look "professional" again for a few more months. Otherwise,
nap and church. On Sunday, Dad and I started putting in more wood for the
winter. It was so muggy and cloudy, it felt like it was raining when it
wasn't. We got the job half done and quit for the weekend.

Work is coming along well. Finally got through a major process hurdle
yesterday afternoon, so my confidence is up now that I'll get the product
released next week. Got two more releases to test following this product
release, so looks like I'll stay busy for a few mmore weeks at least.

Weighing in at 167 or 168 depending on the day, just can't get past this
number. Yet, the crazy thing is that I'm now down to the last notch on my
belt now so my waist is a little slimmer than before. Not lifting weights
much these days, so it can't be more muscle to compensate for weight loss.
Who knows, maybe I'm holding more water now. Beats me. And started this week
on working on breaking one of my remaining bad habits, drinking diet pop. Now
packing in 2 16oz bottles of sugar free Kool-Aid to help me get through the
morning hours. I'll still have a diet pop over lunch and nurse it through the
afternoon. It was getting to the point I was drinking close to 40 oz. of pop
a day during the week. Time to cut back. Don't miss the caffeine, that I can
tell yet. Do miss the taste though. 8/ Prolly more psychological than
anything else. Today's blog brought to you by "Ballad of Poncho and Lefty" by
