Spent a mind-numbing day here at work. The worst time of a project is at the very beginning when nothing looks interesting, no direction is given, and the clock is ticking. I tend to drift around trying to find something to pick up and run with, but typically run into some roadblock of one form or another. I just feel bad that I spend most of the day sitting around waiting for something to happen and feel guilty when I putter on Bat or surf the internet. Just hard to justify yourself at work during these days when your accomplishment is summed up by "didn't break anything, consumed oxygen and food". As a side bonus, I found out today that after working here for a few years, I now make about the same amount of money that a new hire out of college would get starting here. Motivation level: lower than a snake's shadow. I'm sure in a couple of years, new hires will make more than me. Guess I'll just have to quit and get hired back in to get a significant pay raise. Shoutout to Klar.
