A bit behind on the blog.  Time to rectify that!  Last week was Thanksgiving
holiday for us Americans.  It also meant that I would get Thur. and Fri. off
from work.  So, on Turkey Day, Dad and I sit around, eating and watching
football.  Weather was too cold/wet/windy for me to want to go work outside. 
Friday, Mom and I got to my brother's girlfriend to get out hair cut.  We end
up making almost a day of it as Mom decides to get her hair colored as well. 
Weather still inclement enough that I don't want to play out in it.  Saturday,
the weather finally warms up a bit.  I end up going out to the timber, but
there snow is piled enough that I can't tell what type of wood is on the
ground.  I end up pulling a few tops out that I had scouted earlier and then
quit.  Sunday, Dad and I head out to the wood pile, fired up the log splitter,
and began splitting firewood for next year's use.  Made really good progress
in the 4 hours we workd.  My back felt really, really good.  Looks like all of
this gym stuffs is paying off after all.

Long work week.  Finally got my year end review and was ranked very highly by
my manager.  It is one of those things I like to get recognized for.  I should
find out this week what my raise will be based on the review.  Got busted by
the safety glasses nazis when I popped out to the lab to move some computer
files around.  *sigh*  I can't wait to find out what annoyance this will be. 
Went to the gym on Friday evening, and the new guy behind the counter ends up
giving away my gym ID to someone else by accident.  Shesh!

Saturday was supposed to be deer hunting for me.  Instead, a large
ice/snow/sleet/rain storm rolled through the area.  Instead, I stayed in Cedar
Rapids and puttered around the house.  A little laundry and some cleaning,
after that, played Phantom Brave most of the day on the PS2.  Finally quit by
9:30pm when I realized I needed to grind some xp/lvls for my characters before
I could go on with the storyline.  About halfway through the storyline and
while it is fun, it isn't as good as Disgaea which was its predecessor. 
Fortunately, the storm dropped more sleet than ice or snow, so not a lot of
ice damage.  I'll have to call home this evening to find out if Dad was able
to use my deer tag.

So far today, scraped off what sleet I could from my sidewalks, then church,
and then the gym.  Weighed in at 171.  Still trying to lose the holiday fat I
picked up from eating and sleeping too much in November.  I always have good
luck losing weight when I stop going home on weekends and working out instead.
