A bit behind on the blog, so I had best catch up while I have the time. Last few weekends, the weather has been less than cooperative. First weekend of December I would normally be up deer hunting first season shotgun with the family. Not this year, had a ice/sleet/snow storm come in on Saturday. I stayed at home and played Phantom Brave for the day. Last weekend, another ice/sleet storm came in to visit. Stuck around the house, but the output from the storm wasn't as bad as the previous week's. I managed to get out of the house and do a little X-mas shopping. Even a little video game shopping for myself as well. Picked up the next Growlanser title as well as a used copy of Dragon Quest 8 . This weekend, I'm in at work trying to get a qualification done before the end of next week. Looking good now that I put in a full day today. Otherwise, the last few weeks have been spent at work grousing about all the cold, ice, and snow. Finished up the storyline of Phantom Brave, but didn't care enough for the gameplay to go very far into the "bonus" areas like I did with Disgaea. So, I fired up Dragon Quest 8 to keep me occupied. Been hitting the gym regularly, and yet I'm up to 173 now. What the heck? I've even been really, really good with the eating habits and such. I just can't figure how I'm gaining so much weight so fast. I dread to see what will happen when I take off for a few days to have X-mas at the folks. Fat city. Fortunately, I'm mostly done with X-mas shopping thanks to getting 1 big gift for all of my nieces and nephews. Cash is going to bro and sis and folks. I'm down to a couple of small gifts let to do. Pet peeve from shopping. Being harassed about getting the chain "savings" card. I don't care, I just want to buy your stuff. Ring it up so I can get on with my life, thanks. Yes, Gamestop, I'm talking about you! Still waffling on buying a new PC. At least the prices have gone back up again which keeps me from buying. Also, got my raise info back recently. Got a nice 5.5% raise. Even got a small bonus on to my end of year bonus as thanks for efforts for the year. With that now in the bank, I'm in good shape for putting another chunk down against my mortgage. With no major expenses, I think I can be mortgage free on the house in about 2 years. Then I can get back to building the savings again. Yeehaw! Today's blog brought to you by Dragonette - The Boys
