Back from another weekend of extreme corn harvesting. Dad should be able to wrap up the harvest today barring any break down or accident. Starting this weekend, the fields should be ready for me to start the chisel plowing. Still taking off all next week for "vacation". It just is a release for me to do physical work instead of the mental olympics here at work. Here's hoping I get some good weather to work in. The fall colors are really showing up now. One good rain will bring it on. Also, the fall invasion of the Japanese beetles and box elder bugs has begun in earnest. Just HUGE swarms of these insects are everywhere on the farm on Sunday. It is so bad out that you can't stand to be outside for more than a few minutes. The spiderwebs should be flying here this week as well. Already starting to see more and more flocks of geese around the area. Well, had better get back to counting the hours till Friday afternoon. Shoutout to Stalgrad.
