Catch-up time for the ye olde bloggy! Previous weekend dropped off truck to get worked on. Four-wheel drive would not engage at all, and with this winter we are having here in Iowa, I need it. So, I borrowed Mom's truck for the week. Had to leave Sat. evening after church to get home ahead of the next big storm that would roar in on Sunday. We ended up getting 7 inches of snow from it, which was a bitch to shovel due to it being wet and heavy. I also finished up Xenosaga episode 1 on Sunday. Really enjoyed the game. Story is top-notch, and the game play wasn't too shabby. Started episode 2 of the series. Not liking the game mechanics so far. Instead of tweaking, they changed it radically, and not in a positive direction. *sigh* Haven't played it much yet. I spent spent all week at work grinding my teeth and patience with customers. Real clusterfuck ongoing with a new customer. One is having install issues with Access that is driving me nuts. The other new customer does not realize how big of a hole they are in schedule wise on top of not knowing how far behind the tech know-how curve they are at the moment. Not looking forward to this week and dealing with them. Spent last weekend back home on the farm. Went back to pick up the truck from repair shop. Turns out, a snap ring broke, replacement part is 90 bucks, no word on how many hours it took to drop the transmission to get to it though. 8( Otherwise, enjoyed being home and bumming around with the folks. Nice weekend for once in a long while. Too bad it didn't last as today is yet another winte r storm in progress as I type. We are over 60 inches of official snowfally this winter season. Top 5 ever since recordings kept for our area. *sigh* This weather reminds me of winter as a kid now. Several locals are out of firewood already. Folks and brother are in good shape yet for wood supply. Easily ride out this winter with the amount left. Just means I'll have to split a bunch more this coming spring. Just as soon as the 7 foot drifts melt down to where I can find the wood again. Otherwise, next weeks are going to be long and hard with a major qual. coming up that is due by March 15th. Tis ok, weather doesn't appear to be nice for a while anyways. I am getting cabin fever though. I want to do outside stuffs again, but can't with all of the weather.
