Ok, where was I, right, job. Good time to be ranked well with potential economic downturn everywhere and layoffs in the coming year. I need to hang on another year just pay off the truck I just bought and get that new roof up on the house. On the good side, opened up the land for new renters and gota pair of bids for 200 an acre for next year lined up. That'll pay for my farm payments + taxes from now on. Freaking sweet. I just have to survive a few more years for the Stock Market to bounce back so I can recover my 401k plan. I think I could retire by the time I'm 45-50 if everything works out right (which they won't) or unless I get married (which seems highly unlikely these days). Anyways, financial, savings are low now, but the future looks good. Stil weighing in around 170 mark these days. Gain a little, lose a little, body seems happy with this number even if I'd rather I'd be 10 pounds lighter. But, I tend to drop weight in winter months due to lack of access to Mom's cooking and reduced chances of eating out for lunches. Otherwise, body is healthy and feeling good. Congrats to a RL friend on getting engaged last week. That reduces the number of single friends by a point, with another getting close to that engagement stage. Last few weekends have been on the farm, getting ready for winter. Helped Dave get the last few loads of wood I cut for him all this year. He got around 20 trailer loads of wood at 50 bucks a pop from me. So, I'm on the credit side of the ledger if I need truck or tractor repairs/parts in the coming years. Feels good though to help him out so he can focus on his starting business and he appreciates my efforts to help him, so it is all good. Otherwise, have the American Turkey Holiday coming up tomorrow. Will celebrate tomorrow evening with the family. Was supposed to be Friday at my house, but my brother has to work now that day, so we moved it up and over to the parents house for less travel for all involved. Not much else. Current farm project is converting an old manure spreader into a wood hauling trailer. The spreader was one that Dad couldn't use any longer. Got the wheel axle bent back and got the webbing out of it. Just need to remove the drive shaft and beater bar, and a little welding to the axle and I'll be set. Guess that's about it. Till next time true believers. Today's blog brought to you by "Stormy May Day" by AC-DC.
