Almost another month?  Time for another blog entry.  Since last update, went
out and did first season deer hunting again this year.  Cooold temperatures
this year, but at least we had snow on the ground which made hunting a bit
easier.  Since the hunting party wanted to go to another area first, Dad, my
brother, and I went out and hit little spots in the timber by ourselves. 
Kicked up a doe walking out to the timber, and got 2 shots on a doe feeding
along the edge, but missed both.  Didn't see much the rest of the morning,
till the party showed up.  Blocked a spot and shot a yearling doe that
wandered right in front of me.  About a 30 ft. broadside shot, and I took it. 
Good thing too, only decent shot at a deer I would have this season.  My
brother and I drug it out, without gutting it since it was light enough for us
to manage.  (Yes, it was kindof small.)  I never did see any bucks but one,
and that was too close to another hunter for me to take a shot at, and he
passed it up!!!  GRR!

The past two weekends, I stayed in town.  Two weekends ago, I decided to get a
jump on the X-mas shopping.  Got most of the gifts I wanted to find and good
thing I did.  Since that weekend, the weather has been crappy ever since. 
Either snowing, windy, cold, or a combination of all three.  Had to shovel
several times so far, and last weekend, the weather dipped to -10 and -35 F
wind chills.  BRR!

So in my free time huddling for warmth in blankets, I ended up finishing Soul
Nomad and the World Eaters and decided to start playing Okami since Shinarae
recommended it so highly.  Soul Nomad was fairly decent, although the thought
of trying to play through the game again to see the various endings filled me
with pain and suffering so I skipped that part.  Wished there was a way I
could see or read the various endings.  Gameplay and storyline were fairly
good.  The anti-hero Gig was a riot.  So far, Okami has been fun start.  Is a
good sign that I keep running around slashing stuff in the paint mode, just to
watch the background destruction.  I am dreading the boss fights though.  My
guess is those will turn into 45 min. long dodge, duck, and hack fights that
remind me of the bad old days of Nintendo bosses.

Looking forward to the upcoming holiday break.  I get about two weeks away
again this year.  Just hoping the snow lays off today so I can get home and
tomorrow so I can go out and prowl around with the guys again.  X-mas day on
Thursday will have my brother and his entourage as well as my grandma and
great-aunt coming over.  Sunday, my sis and her rugrats are scheduled to stop
over.  My brother has to travel on Sunday, and sis can't get her kids on the
Thurs., hence the split celebrations this year.  As for New Year's Eve, still
no solid plans yet, but maybe something will happen.

Not much to say about work, other than I got my review and my review was very
positive again.  Too bad my raise got delayed till April due to the bad
economic news that has been happening around the world with the financial
meltdown.
