The original whalebone lantern was crafted with divine precision by the great
mage Fistandantalus.  Its purpose was twofold: to light the way through even
the most sinister magical darkness and also to protect the holder from magical
or nonmagical late-night fatigue.  This lantern you hold is just a cheap
Korean imitation of the original lantern, but the guildmasters of Nightlife+
hope that at least some of the symbolic powers of the original shall be imbued
upon the holder.
