I am thinking a bit about Wainamoinen, the Old Sage. He is a good fairy tale
for children and adults. I know a Christian woman who respects the Wainamoinen
religion. Lots of people don't consider it a religion though, and they say
that Wainamoinen is not a god but a big sage of the Finns, a myth. But hmm..
You know, the equation of Wainamoinen with Odin. It's interesting. The
Karelians and the Swedes used to have a pantheon. They had different, equal
gods there. Mielikki is like some Swedish God, Wainamoinen is like Odin in
many respects etc. etc. It all intrigues me. In modern religious life all this
Allah and Jahwe torture shit is encouraged. I don't encourage anyone to
believe in Allah. Quite the opposite. I have heard that lots of schizophrenics
take a belief in Allah and get delusional. It's not smart. And if the
Christian God gives you trouble, just give him the boot too.
