The movie Gladiator is very interesting, Russell Crowe starts in it. I
especially like the scene where the Romans fight the Barbarians. An
interesting detail is though that I think the Barbarians are Goths. They are
told to be Germanic barbarians and lots of what the Barbarian Leader shouts is
just Pig Latin (siansaksa) but he also shouts "Kääntykää takas!" and that
means he must be Gothic, since the Gothic and Finnish language mixed in
history. (Yes, it's true, we've got LOADS of Gothic loanwords in Finnish like
äithe - äiti, fija - viha etc. Plus we've got LOADS of Swedish loanwords in
our language too.)
