I know it's kinda early, but... The Road - movie of the year. Hands down. I think the fact that I hadn't read the book made me enjoy the film even more. I had no idea what to expect. I was literally on the edge of my seat every time they met others or if there was even a remote possibility of that happening. It's been quite a while since a film managed to keep my heart beating like mad simply through clever use of heavy atmosphere. Slow (in a very good way), but almost every single scene had so much tension that I was just praying for music to start playing to know I'd be "safe" again for a few moments. Too bad I had to leave when the credits started rolling. Judging by the voices, sounds and the little music that I heard, bad stuff was about to happen.
