Haven't had much free time at work lately to work on the mud blog here so I'm taking some time out this evening to putter through one. Thanksgiving vacation has come and gone once again. Four days off from work, and for the most part was blissfully spent out in the timbre hauling tops out for future firewood. The neighbors had logged out the timbre last year at this time, and generously have given my family all the leftovers that we can find for use as firewood. It isn't a hard process, mainly it is finding a top, chainsaw off the branches that are too small for usefulness, clear a path if necessary with the saw, then hook onto the log with a log chain to the pulling tractor, and pull the wood out. Just that the process can take a long time per log due to the amount of work it can take. Thanksgiving meal itself was fine, we ate over at my sister's this year. No family explosions or anything. I think my family must be abnormal. Shoutout to Typo. Work is just going to be a bear this month. Short month with the Xmas vacation coming up. I still may have to work through it though. Not looking forward to that. Potential for a new job in a different group is slowly coming along. I may yet enjoy going to work again. We'll see.
