I've been a little sluggish about the blog lately. I've just had stuff on my
mind so nothing coherent to say. I really need to get my butt in gear and get
my christmas cards designed and started. I have an idea in mind, but I'm still
considering some of the design details. I'm not sure it will work how I want
it to. 

We got 2.5feet of snow over the weekend which gave me a good excuse to not get
the cards started. I was shovelling a lot... I also got a bunch of my artwork
hung while I was stuck at the house. Now I'm feeling even more motivated to
finish painting the living room so I can hang some more stuff. 

I saw Master and Commander (movie) yesterday after finally getting my driveway
cleared enough that I could leave the house. Awesome. I've become a real
addict to historical fiction, so I went out to buy the Patrick O'Brian book.
Amusingly the movie Master and Commander is not the same as the book of the
same title. The movie script is based on scaps from a bunch of the books.
That's fine with me, I will enjoy the books that much more. Joy, happiness,
there are like 18 books in the series, this will probably become my next brain
candy obsession. I've been working my way through Democracy in America. I'm
going to finish the first volume before I pick up M&C which looks to be a fast
read.

I'm volunteering at the Dean for America campaign office tonight. Woo. I'm
kind of excited. I will probably just be doing some data entry, but I'm happy
to be getting into the process.
