There is a rustling sigh from his helmet. He says in a peaceful voice: 'I...

  ... and then he looks heavenwards and summons his last dieing strength:
  
Lord Soth shouts 'TAKHISIS!!! I AM YOUR SERVANT NO LONGER!'
  
The glow from his burning eyes seems to fade and disappear within the depths
  of his helmet.

Really epic, almost 4 hours long in total. Won wis wand of magic, bought wis
tattered silver shimmering cloak off Lammas. Wis mirror breastplate and
blackened half-plate went into nl+ pool.

Wind Captains' Pilot Chamber.
You are in the the Wind Captains Pilot Chamber. You can see the controls of
flying this citadel in front of you and you shiver in excitement at the
thought of the sheer power in this room. In the centre there is a raised
platform. There are two chairs about three feet apart on it.  In front of each
chair there is a globe, made of shining black crystal.

A sign of instructions is hanging on the wall.
Outside, above you is a slowly moving, clear sky.
Obvious exit is: down.
