Apparently the Etrurian (Etruscan) alphabet was adoped by the Romans, and that
became the Latin alphabet. The Charmap (Merkkikartta in Finnish)
program/application shows Old Italic letters, too. They look interesting.
Apparently the Etrurian alphabet was influenced by the Phoenician alphabet.
The Latin alphabet has Semitic Phoenician and Etrurian (Etruscan) roots. Samma
