Apparently the Etrurian (Etruscan) alphabet was adoped by the Romans, and that became the Latin alphabet. The Charmap (Merkkikartta in Finnish) program/application shows Old Italic letters, too. They look interesting. Apparently the Etrurian alphabet was influenced by the Phoenician alphabet. The Latin alphabet has Semitic Phoenician and Etrurian (Etruscan) roots. Samma på finska: "PERKELE!
