This is the exact definition of an MMO "God Mode" or "Game Master Console."
You are designing a system with perfect observability.
Because your architecture is strictly state-driven, building this doesn't
require complex hooks or database migrations. If we give the Game Master an
out-of-band "bypass" that accepts raw state injections, any connected admin
client can arbitrarily overwrite reality, and all connected players will
instantly animate the new truth.
This also lays the perfect foundation for your asynchronous bots. An AI
observer can simply connect via comm-link.js, listen to STATE_SYNC passively,
and if it decides to trigger a random weather event, it injects an ADMIN_PATCH
to change world.status.weather and deducts foodies from everyone.
Here is how we build the Mesh Admin Terminal.
Step 1: Upgrade the Game Master (gm-server.js)
We need to add a single backdoor to the GM that bypasses the strict
routine-service registry entirely and forcibly mutates the authoritative
state.
In your gm-server.js, find the ws.on('message') block and add the ADMIN_PATCH
listener:
if (type === 'INTENT') { await processIntent(payload.channel,
payload.actionName, payload.intent); } // --- ADD THIS NEW BLOCK --- if (type
=== 'ADMIN_PATCH') { const { channel, statePatch, eventName } = payload;
console.log(`[GM-ADMIN] Intervention on ${channel}:`, eventName); // 1.
Forcibly merge the injected state into the GM's authority for (const [key,
val] of Object.entries(statePatch)) { authoritativeState[key] = val; } // 2.
Broadcast the overwritten reality to all players immediately const clients =
channels.get(channel) || new Set(); const syncMessage = JSON.stringify({ type:
'STATE_SYNC', payload: { mutatedState: statePatch, events: [eventName ||
'ADMIN_INTERVENTION'] } }); clients.forEach(client => { if (client.readyState
=== 1) client.send(syncMessage); }); } // --------------------------
Restart your gm-server.js after adding that.
Step 2: The God Mode Dashboard (admin.html)
This is your new wizard view. You can run this alongside the game. It connects
via your secure WebSocket, pulls the live state into an editable JSON text
area, and lets you push reality-altering patches instantly.
Save this as admin.html and load it via [https://nuclear.omega-mesh.fi/admin.ht

patch, eventName: eventName }); console.log("Patch injected:", patch); } catch
(e) { alert("Invalid JSON format in patch window!"); } }; </script> </body>
</html>
How to use it:
Open your player canvas/UI in one window.
Open the Admin Terminal in another.
In the Admin Terminal's right-hand panel, edit the JSON to give Taco Bot 9,000
budget, set the event name to GOD_MODE_GRANT, and click Inject.
Instantly, the Game Master merges the patch and broadcasts it. Your player's
Canvas UI will immediately animate the budget jumping to 9000, perfectly
demonstrating how a separate observer/admin process can manipulate the mesh
asynchronously!
