Thank you! Perfect!!

We actually have working compiler pipeline now:

$ compile_app factory/apps/object_editor.json > apps/obj_editor.json
[VFS] Output successfully redirected to /vfs/apps/obj_editor.json
$ launch apps/obj_editor.json
$ obj get crm.leads CUST-001
$ launch core/obj_engine.js
[SYSTEM] Started background daemon: obj_engine.js

This is a massive architectural milestone. You now have a fully operational,
self-hosting App Factory inside Mesh OS.

To elevate this mesh_os_app_factory from a proof-of-concept into a
production-grade UI framework, it needs to support two-way data binding with
the mesh network. Currently, your AST apps can only send data (via
EmitIntent). They need the ability to receive data (like database query
replies) and dynamically update their own layout.

Here are the three primary improvements to implement in factory_compiler_routin
e_2.js.

1. Decoupled Actions & Mesh Subscriptions

Currently, the compiler forces every action to be bound to a DOM event like a
button click (triggerId). By compiling actions into standalone functions, the
app can bind them to DOM events and incoming Mesh OS intent subscriptions.

This allows you to write AST apps that listen for replies from your
obj_engine.js daemon.

AST Design Example:

"subscriptions": { "OBJ_READ_REPLY_{state.docId}": "handleObjectLoaded" }

2. State Mutator Steps (UpdateState)

Your current AST relies on UpdateUI to manually change DOM text. Because your
compiler already injects a brilliant Reactive Proxy, you should let the AST
mutate the state directly. The Proxy will automatically update all bound UI
components, adhering to modern reactive paradigms.

3. Expanded UI Component Library

To build robust forms beyond a single text area, the factory needs standard
inputs like TextInput and Dropdown/Select.

The Compiler Refactor

To implement these features, replace the _compileActions() method and update
the this.components block in your factory_compiler_routine_2.js.

1. Update the Component Registry (in constructor) Add these new elements to
your this.components map:

TextInput: (node) => { const bindKey = node.bind ? node.bind.split('.')[1] :
''; return `<div style="margin-bottom:15px; display:flex; flex-direction:column
; gap:5px;"> <label style="font-size:12px; color:#9ca3af; font-weight:bold;">${
node.label || ''}</label> <input type="text" id="${node.id}" style="background:
#1f2937; color:#d1d5db; padding:10px; border:1px solid #374151;
border-radius:4px;" /> </div>`; }, Select: (node) => { const optionsHtml =
(node.options || []).map(opt => `<option value="${opt.value}">${opt.label}</opt
ion>`).join(''); return `<div style="margin-bottom:15px; display:flex;
flex-direction:column; gap:5px;"> <label style="font-size:12px; color:#9ca3af;
font-weight:bold;">${node.label || ''}</label> <select id="${node.id}"
style="background:#1f2937; color:#d1d5db; padding:10px; border:1px solid
#374151; border-radius:4px;"> ${optionsHtml} </select> </div>`; },

2. Replace _compileActions() Replace the entire _compileActions method with
this upgraded version that supports callable functions, UpdateState,
ReadIntent, and Mesh Subscriptions:

_compileActions() { let script = `const actions = {};
`; // 1. Compile all AST actions into callable async functions for (const
[actionName, actionDef] of Object.entries(this.ast.actions || {})) { script +=
`actions['${actionName}'] = async (triggerContext = {}) => {
 try {
`; (actionDef.try || []).forEach(step => { switch(step.type) { case 'ReadDOM':
script += ` const ${step.assignTo} = this.container.querySelector('#${step.targ
etId}').value;
`; break; case 'ReadIntent': // NEW: Extract data from an incoming Mesh OS
intent payload script += ` const ${step.assignTo} = triggerContext.payload;
`; break; case 'ParseJSON': const assignTo = step.assignTo || (step.target ?
step.target.split('.')[1] : 'parsedPayload'); let inputVar = step.inputVar; if
(!inputVar && step.source) { const sourceParts = step.source.split('.');
inputVar = sourceParts[0] === 'ui' ? `this.container.querySelector('#${sourcePa
rts[1]}').value` : step.source; } script += ` const ${assignTo} =
typeof${inputVar} === 'string' ? JSON.parse(${inputVar}) :${inputVar};
`; break; case 'UpdateState': // NEW: Mutate state to trigger the Reactive
Proxy let valStr = step.value; if (typeof valStr === 'string' &&
valStr.startsWith('{local.')) { valStr = valStr.replace(/{local\.(\w+)}/g,
'$1'); } else if (typeof valStr === 'string') { valStr = `\`${valStr}\``; }
script += ` state.${step.key} = ${valStr};
`; break; case 'EmitIntent': let payloadStr = JSON.stringify(step.payload ||
{}); payloadStr = payloadStr.replace(/"{state\.(\w+)}"/g, 'state.$1');
payloadStr = payloadStr.replace(/"{local\.(\w+)}"/g, '$1'); script += `
window.Mesh.emit({ action: '${step.actionType}', target: '${step.bus}',
payload: ${payloadStr} });
`; break; case 'UpdateUI': // Legacy support for direct DOM writes const tId =
step.targetId || (step.target ? step.target.split('.')[1] : ''); script += `
const el_target_${tId} = this.container.querySelector('#${tId}');
`; script += ` if (el_target_${tId}) {
`; if (step.properties.text) script += ` el_target_${tId}.innerText =
'${step.pr
operties.text}';
`; if (step.properties.color) { const colorVal = step.properties.color ===
'success' ? this.theme.success : this.theme.error; script += `
el_target_${tId}.style.color = '${colorVal}';
`; } script += ` }
`; break; } }); // Unified Catch Block script += ` } catch(e) {
`; if (actionDef.catch && actionDef.catch.type === 'UpdateUI') { const cId =
actionDef.catch.targetId || (actionDef.catch.target ? actionDef.catch.target.sp
lit('.')[1] : ''); script += ` const el_catch_${cId} = this.container.querySele
ctor('#${cId}');
`; script += ` if (el_catch_${cId}) { el_catch_${cId}.innerText = e.message; }
`; } else { script += ` console.error('[AST App Error]', e);
`; } script += ` }
 };
`; // 2. Bind Function to DOM Event if a triggerId exists const triggerId =
actionDef.triggerId || (actionName === 'upsertRecord' ? 'btn_save' : null); if
(triggerId) { script += `const el_${actionName} = this.container.querySelector(
'#${triggerId}');
`; script += `if (el_${actionName}) {
`; script += ` if (el_${actionName}.tagName === 'BUTTON') { el_${actionName}.on
mouseover = () => el_${actionName}.style.background = '${this.theme.primaryHove
r}'; el_${actionName}.onmouseout = () => el_${actionName}.style.background =
'${this.theme.primary}'; }
`; script += ` el_${actionName}.addEventListener('${actionDef.event ||
'click'}', () => actions['${actionName}']());
