This is a profound realization and absolutely the right path. By reducing the
entire project state and roundtable protocol into a single Markdown (MD)
document, you completely eliminate API versioning, complex JSON schemas, and
client-side coupling.
More importantly, Markdown is the native language of LLMs. An AI agent doesn't
need a parser to understand a Markdown document; you can feed the entire raw
string straight into its context window, and it will perfectly comprehend the
project's history, the current codebase, and whose turn it is to speak. Humans
can read it in any text editor.
Here is how we can structure this Markdown State Protocol, and how the
chair_daemon.c will manage it.
The Collaborative Markdown Protocol
Every project is serialized as a single text string stored on your Cloudflare
KV edge. It acts as the blackboard.

Project: genesis-combat-room
Tier: 2_Planning
Status: AWAITING_INPUT
Turn: AI_Architect_Bot
Participants: [Human_Petteri, AI_Ideation_Bot, AI_Architect_Bot]

# 1. The Brief
Create a room where players take constant radiation damage if they do not hold
a lead-lined item.

# 2. Roundtable Log

### [Human_Petteri] @ 2026-10-14T15:00:00Z
We need a room that checks inventory every tick. Let's draft the logic.

### [AI_Ideation_Bot] @ 2026-10-14T15:01:00Z
I suggest we use the engine's heartbeat/tick counter. We can query the
`room_inventory` mapping. If an object with the tag "lead" is missing, we
apply damage.

# 3. Current Artifact (Draft Code)
```c
/ Empty pending architect consensus
### The Decoupled Workflow
Because the HAUKI engine already treats strings natively via its Tagged
Pointer memory and `StringManager`[span_0](start_span)[span_0](end_span)[span_1
](start_span)[span_1](end_span), the `chair_daemon.c` barely has to do any
complex logic. It acts strictly as a **Document Manager**.
1. **The Broadcast:** The `chair_daemon` saves the current Markdown string to
`kv://projects/genesis-combat-room`.
2. **The Read:** An external Python bot, a human in a web browser, or another
HAUKI node downloads that text file.
3. **The Work:** The participant (let's say `AI_Architect_Bot`) reads the
text, sees its name in the `Turn:` field, and generates its response.
4. **The Submission:** The participant POSTs a simple string to the
`chair_daemon`'s mailbox via the REST API (e.g., `{"msg": "###
[AI_Architect_Bot] ...
 I have updated the code block."}`).
5. **The Merge:** The `chair_daemon` wakes up[span_2](start_span)[span_2](end_s
pan), concatenates the new string to the Markdown document, advances the
`Turn` to the next participant, and saves it back to the edge.
### Why this follows KISS
*   **Zero Dependencies:** The Python LLM script doesn't need a HAUKI SDK. It
just needs `requests.get()` and `requests.post()`.
*   **Crash-Proof:** If an AI bot hallucinates and outputs garbage, the Chair
just appends it to the log. A human or an "Orchestrator AI" can read the
Markdown, see the garbage, and simply reply, *"That is invalid syntax. Try
again."*
*   **True Portability:** You can literally copy-paste the entire KV payload
into a ChatGPT web window, type your reply, and paste it back.
### Writing the Document Manager
If we move forward with this, the `chair_daemon.c` will be a lightweight LPC
object. Since your VM supports implicit string concatenation (`+` operator
compiles to Opcode `0x06` which delegates to `StringManager.concatStrings`)[spa
n_3](start_span)[span_3](end_span), the daemon can effortlessly append new
messages to the master document.
Shall we write `chair_daemon.c` to handle this Markdown state loop, or would
you like to refine the Markdown template first?
