My roomie bought a house and so we moved to his new place over the weekend of
the 4th. Now when you have two guys moving, and the combined worth of your
possessions is about 500 bucks on the street (which includes my cd
collection), moving becomes and exercise of throwing away rather than actual
moving. Considering at the end of it all, a third of our furniture stayed out
in the garage due to its condition. Anyways, I get off work early on the
Friday to start packing and I pull into the parking lot. Here I find a car
from the parole board parked in the lot, evidently to check up on some parole.
Man, I couldn't wait to get out of that complex. Being guys, we moved the
kitchen that evening, since most of the stuff we could do without. Saturday
proved rainy, so we didn't get very much moved. Sunday was our full on move
day with Monday as a clean-up day at the old apartment. Nothing was lost on
the trip across town thankfully.

Even managed to go out Sat. night to catch an outdoors concert of a cover band
and catch some fireworks on Sun. evening. No stories from the concert other
than a good time for those who stayed through the rain to watch the show.
Then last weekend I was back on the farm. I quickly found out I was a week
behind the peak of the blackberry season this year. I managed to pick around
5 quarts in between the rain showers this weekend. It would seem everything
is a week or 2 ahead in the cycle this year. I wonder if that means an early
winter. I should sneak out next weekend and grab some gooseberries as I saw
they were coming along as well now. I'm just a berry picking freak!

Other news, work is slowing down to a crawl at the moment. I had to loan out
one of my main programmers due to the lack of work. I'm worried we are going
to get screwed by the schedule in the end due to the lack of decision making
at the top. I can't open up more work until someone gets on the ball and
makes the critical program decisions so I can go forwards. In the mean time,
I'm wrapping up some side projects, although I may soon be looking for work
too. 8(

Not much else at the moment, but the Delaware county fair is coming up this
weekend. Tractor pulling Sat. night! Woot! Oh yeah, forgot to mention, the
weekend before my move, I was attending my home town annual rodeo days/demo
derby. Let's hear it for my redneck trifecta! Shout out to rednecks!
