Today I logged in. Looking forward to the gala. And then I had a thought,
which I haven't had before any other bat event. The amount of bloody work it
takes to arrange things like this. Hard, ungrateful work which volunteers do
for free year after year. It's pretty amazing to be honest. Anyway, the
community is very mature now. This will be the best one yet.

I ran out of gas. I had a flat tire. I didn't have enough
money for cab fare. My tux didn't come back from the cleaners. An old friend
came in from out of town. Someone stole my car. There was an earthquake! A
terrible flood! Locusts! It wasn't my fault, I swear to god!'
Coded inventory restore functions and a room in which inventory can be
restored.

Coded some more or less useless stuff:
Frustration dispenser.
A 'Do not pull this lever'-lever.
blindfolds. Buy them in tinker shop.
blind-check for count command.
Fixed dehydrating for undead and wter allergic races.
Fixed Tarmalen train level.
Furys heart is coming up nicely. Recoded some parts of the controller to
support wrapping. Still does not work. I also coded some things to the keep
regarding certain skills and spells. Coded mudpits and weather effects.
And some other 666 stuff came into play today.
Phone command was completed yesterday.

Other things done in the last few months:
Outpost area was tuned a bit and some bugfixes were made. Now it should work
pretty well.
Coded some on the upcoming Phoenix area with Henri. I'm making some sub-areas
there, some monsters and some servers.
Scetched up my next area, Furys Heart which is due for release sometime later.
Maybe in the summer 2004. I've also coded some on that.
Coding 'phone' command. Due for release today. It will show your phonenumber
in finger to the people you allow.
Fixed some manual pages that were not up to date.
Re-wrote my workroom. Now it's almost useful.
Fixed a bug that occured in all outworld monsters.
Fixed a bug in heavy weight spell.
Fixed a bug (can't remember what it was) in battle code.
Started a new project. Pahvi and me are supposed to re-write a 2D-controller
for the lib. Lets see how that progresses.
Started tweaking the materials. Plenty of inaccurate info there.
Added 'keep list' feature.
Outpost area was opened yesterday evening. So far so good. Three typos and no
bugs so far.
Changed camping skill so merfolk and duck can camp in water.
I started coding on a new side-project.
I have too many side-projects already. I will never finish some of them, and I
don't have time to code these days. Oh well.
Only because you are paranoid, it does not mean that they aren't out to get
you!

Ah, and that idiot Australian visited yesterday too. He kept spamming some
prominent players and newbie channel. He was purged by a helper but kept
making new characters all the time. Finally an arch intervened and he was
IP-banned. I wonder what drives these people..
Yesterday I got huge amounts of errors from my Russian roulette room. A player
had managed to get the zappingwand out of the room. The wand was dested of
course, and today another player helped me trace the bug so I could fix it.
TP:s were awarded to the one that gave me the crucial bits of info needed to
find the bug.
Added Russian roulette into the game.
Recoded my workroom and some of my cute wiztools. Don't come and visit.

Previous and completed projects:
Recoded some stuff in Ruffneck's old 'farm' area. It bugged in a way. Now you
should maybe get more than a pie for completing the quest.
Coded the 'Beastlands' area. It contains a levelquest for newbies and lots of
unique monsters to bash. Tune should not drop too low because of the many
different monsters. An area for level 10-30 characters.
Made a new spell, 'enhanced awareness' which will come into the game soon. It
is not trainable anywhere yet.
Bugfixes for outworld monsters today. Most monsters had a small bug which I
fixed. Nothing you should notice though.
Eagles may soar, but weasels don't get sucked into jet engines.
Almost completed a new room for bat city. You'll see when it's complete. I
really thought it was finished already, but Shardik found bugs aplenty. I
guess I'll finish it tomorrow. Thanks to dfly for helping.
