Balanced Alternative Techniques ry ("B.A.T. ry") has decided to OPEN donations once again for all amounts, without limitation as of Today! Note that playing BatMUD is FREE of charge and you are not obliged to donate, even though the donation funding has ensured the continuation of BatMUD throughout the years. Donations have previously been open during early 2007 and around new year 2005. Please see 'help donate' and 'help donate-text' for more information.

Apologies on behalf of our ISP for the "short" network outages just moments ago; seems whole Nebula was unavailable for quite some time.

Should you still be missing stuff as a result of last crashes (12 Oct) - contact Favorit either by tell, offline tell or mail.

BatMUD (64-bit) was moved under a faster disksystem, thus eliminating the lag bursts. Sorry for the "unnannounced" maintenance-- it took us longer than expected. Thank you for your patience.

In a huge cloud of flatulence, Corto disappears. Where he went, nobody knows. So long, and thanks for all the area... er, fish.

There will be another short maintenance after boot today (hopefully final) which will include some work on our database server. Estimated completion time 45-60 min after boot.

Once again, to make it clear: There are no reasons to believe we'll be reverting thus far. We're running in SAVE mode. Everything you do will stick, so don't come asking for restores later.

Coming Saturday, September the 19th, there will be a maintenance break starting at boot and lasting about 1-2 hours, where we will perform a driver upgrade, enabling 64-bit. There is a possibility that the things will go haywire, so the day MIGHT turn up to be a no-save day. That being said, I wouldn't go reinc your soul away immediately. If driver proves to be stable we'll just go on running. You have been warned :)
