Andrew Allan aka Hrolf jr. was born on August 29th at 1:39 in the afternoon
pst. He weighed 3230 grams and was 21 inches tall. He didn't breath for a
minute or two when he came out because he had breathed some poop into his
lungs during labor and they had to suction him and put him on a resparator.
He was able to be taken off of the breathing apperatus 12 hours later. That
was one of the scariest times of my life. I will always cary a strong memory
of the first time I was allowed to hold him. It was around 10:30 that evening
and we was still breathing through a tube so they taped him and me into a
rocking chair and told me that I wasn't alowed to move except to rock a
little. I sat and rocked him for more than two hours. I watched as he tried
to cry but since the tube whent all the way down to his lungs no noise would
come out. I watched as he became restless and struggled to breathe again and
they suctioned more yellow gunk from his lungs. I watched as they finally
pulled the tube from his lungs and he gave his first cries. I stood off to the
side and cried myself. Thankfully he was able to come home eight days later
and is wonderfully healthy now. He cries and eats and shits just like he
should.
