Drew turns one this week. He has been walking for a couple of weeks now and know's one baby sign. FAN.
Drew just discovered his thumbs this week. He spends all his time playing with them and sticking them in his mouth. Oh, for the good ole days
Our good friend Andrew played the lets keep dad up so he only gets five hours of sleep game last night. He apparently had a good time. I think he won it on pk's.
I don't sleep for more than 4 hours at a stretch these days. Those are the good days.
Andrew Allan aka Hrolf jr. was born on August 29th at 1:39 in the afternoon pst. He weighed 3230 grams and was 21 inches tall. He didn't breath for a minute or two when he came out because he had breathed some poop into his lungs during labor and they had to suction him and put him on a resparator. He was able to be taken off of the breathing apperatus 12 hours later. That was one of the scariest times of my life. I will always cary a strong memory of the first time I was allowed to hold him. It was around 10:30 that evening and we was still breathing through a tube so they taped him and me into a rocking chair and told me that I wasn't alowed to move except to rock a little. I sat and rocked him for more than two hours. I watched as he tried to cry but since the tube whent all the way down to his lungs no noise would come out. I watched as he became restless and struggled to breathe again and they suctioned more yellow gunk from his lungs. I watched as they finally pulled the tube from his lungs and he gave his first cries. I stood off to the side and cried myself. Thankfully he was able to come home eight days later and is wonderfully healthy now. He cries and eats and shits just like he should. Hrolf does the happy baby dance!
I hate seeing ghosts. It always gives me the creeps. I stopped for gas on the way home from work last night at a different gas station then normal. This gas station happened to be located next to a day care. While pumping gas I saw a women walking away from me towards the day care. I don't know if it was the way she walked, or her hair, or what, but I knew that it was my ex girlfriend without even getting a look at her face. I might add that this is the ex whom I haven't seen in 5 years since she dumped me, dropped out of university, and married an enlisted navy boy. And then I see her coming out of the daycare with her 2 young children. I said hi. Then we had a nice extremely uncomfortable 3 minute conversation in which a minnimum of information was exchanged. She told me she was still married to the navy guy and he was at sea. I told her that my wife was pregnant and due any day. That was it. Somehow I didn't get around to mentioning that the girl I ended up marrying was one of her good friends before she dropped off the face of the earth and would probably like to hear from her. And she sidestepped my vague inquirery into her current proffession. Verry uncomfortable. I hate seing ghosts.
Doing lots of exploring these days. The explore tune R0X! Fighting the urge to reinc. Barbarian is fun. I failed the cevi village quest for the second time today. Third times the charm.
