Triad of Darkness
Command: triad
Max Level: 10
"There was Light and there was Darkness and there was a barrier separating
them which was preserving the primordial state of perfect harmony when it was
suddenly shattered by the Hammer of Worlds for the sake of true love. Chaos
ensued as Light violently clashed with Darkness, both of them seeking to
destroy one another, but no victor was found as the belligerents observed they
were evenly matched. The Light sought to instill its essence upon the
mortalkind and Darkness was quick to counter. The mortal men would give names
for everything and for Darkness that name is Draen-Dalar."
"The harmony was forever lost but from true love came life. The offspring from
true love each chose to serve nature in their own way. One of them represents
life by sustaining it and giving life its form, one of them controls the
elements and the weather that makes nature flourish and one of them makes the
plants wither, corrodes the iron and drains away the life force. Without
death, life would have no meaning. The mortal men would give names for
everything and for Death that name is Sa'hr."
"Blood spilled on the ground as the firstborn son of Sa'hr struck the other
one murdering him. It was a deed so vile that the Great Swamp underneath
seethed, boiled and gave birth to a shambling mass that was so hideous that
once it was seen by the murderer, he chased it to the swamp where it sank out
of sight. The creature found solace from the denizens of the swamp. They would
give him his name and that name is Burglefloogah."
Such are the tales told by the mortal men who turned away from the light and
stepped into the shadows. They were the first followers who became the
emissaries of darkness, and the epitomes of evil. They were the priests of the
religion that preceded the Triad of Darkness.
The Triad of Darkness is the most defining concept in the theological doctrine
referred to as Triadism. It represents three deities which are Draen-Dalar,
Sa'hr and Burglefloogah. Triadism is a polytheistic religion and even if the
main deities are regarded as the most important ones, other gods are also
acknowledged and even worshipped. The aspirant members of the church are
called novices.
